This trek offers a quieter alternative to the classic Everest Base Camp route, passing through traditional Sherpa villages and pristine natural landscapes.

The highlight is the Gokyo Ri summit (5,357m), which provides arguably one of the best views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. The trek also crosses the challenging Cho La Pass (5,420m), adding adventure and breathtaking scenery.

🗺️ Suggested Itinerary (13 Days)

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrival and transfer to hotel. Trek briefing and preparation.

Day 2: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860m), Trek to Phakding (2,610m) – 3 hrs

Scenic flight to Lukla followed by an easy trek along the Dudh Koshi river.

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) – 5 hrs

Steep ascent through forest to Sherpa’s main trading town.

Day 4: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar

Optional hike to Everest View Hotel or local villages.

Day 5: Trek to Dole (4,038m) – 5 hrs

Trail passes through rhododendron forests and rugged terrain.

Day 6: Trek to Machhermo (4,470m) – 4 hrs

Walk through beautiful valleys with distant mountain views.

Day 7: Trek to Gokyo (4,790m) – 3 hrs

Reach the stunning Gokyo Lakes area, surrounded by giant peaks.

Day 8: Climb Gokyo Ri (5,357m) and return to Gokyo – 6 hrs

Sunrise hike to Gokyo Ri summit for panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

Day 9: Trek to Thangna (4,700m) via Cho La Pass (5,420m) – 7–8 hrs

Cross the challenging Cho La Pass with magnificent vistas.

Day 10: Trek to Dzongla (4,830m) – 4 hrs

Continue trekking across high alpine landscapes.

Day 11: Trek to Lobuche (4,910m) – 5 hrs

Trail joins the Everest Base Camp route.

Day 12: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and back to Gorak Shep (5,164m) – 7 hrs

Visit the legendary Everest Base Camp and descend.

Day 13: Trek to Pheriche (4,240m) – 6 hrs

Descent through valleys to Pheriche for rest.

Optional: Continue descent to Lukla or extend trek to other areas.
