This arid and mystical region, located in the rain shadow of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, offers dramatic landscapes, ancient Tibetan Buddhist culture, and stunning desert-like vistas.

Trekking through Upper Mustang, you will experience traditional Tibetan-influenced villages, ancient cave dwellings, vibrant monasteries, and spectacular views of the Trans-Himalayan mountain range. 🗺️ Suggested Itinerary (12 Days)

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Airport pickup, transfer to hotel, and trek briefing.

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, then drive to Jomsom (2,720m)

Short flight and scenic drive to Jomsom, the gateway to Mustang.

Day 3: Trek from Jomsom to Kagbeni (2,810m) – 4 hrs

Follow the Kali Gandaki River, passing through small villages.

Day 4: Trek from Kagbeni to Chele (3,050m) – 5 hrs

Enter Upper Mustang region; dry and barren landscapes begin.

Day 5: Trek from Chele to Ghiling (3,550m) – 6 hrs

Visit traditional Tibetan villages, old monasteries, and caves.

Day 6: Trek from Ghiling to Lo Manthang (3,840m) – 5 hrs

Arrive at the walled capital city of the Kingdom of Mustang.

Day 7: Explore Lo Manthang

Visit ancient monasteries, royal palace, and interact with local people.

Day 8: Trek from Lo Manthang to Chhoser (3,620m) – 5 hrs

Walk through barren plateaus and view caves used by ancient inhabitants.

Day 9: Trek from Chhoser to Tsarang (3,580m) – 4 hrs

Visit historic monasteries and traditional Mustang villages.

Day 10: Trek from Tsarang to Jomsom – 6 hrs

Descend back to the Kali Gandaki valley.

Day 11: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara

Relax and explore Pokhara’s lakeside town.

Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu

Transfer to hotel or airport.
