🌄 Annapurna Base Camp Trek – Overview

The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is one of Nepal’s most popular and breathtaking trekking adventures. Nestled in the heart of the Annapurna Conservation Area, this trek offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and moderate hiking challenge. The trail takes you through charming Gurung and Magar villages, dense rhododendron forests, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic views of majestic peaks like Annapurna I (8,091m), Machapuchare (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Dhaulagiri.

This trek is ideal for both beginners and experienced trekkers seeking a stunning Himalayan experience in a relatively short duration.


🗺️ Suggested Itinerary (10 Days)

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Airport pickup and transfer to hotel. Briefing about the trek.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara (6–7 hours)

Scenic drive along the Trishuli River. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul, Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m) – 4 hrs

The trek begins with a gentle walk through villages and terraced fields.

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2,860m) – 6 hrs

Climb stone steps to Ulleri and continue through rhododendron forest.

Day 5: Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) for sunrise, then trek to Tadapani (2,630m) – 6 hrs

Spectacular sunrise view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Day 6: Trek to Chhomrong (2,170m) – 5 hrs

Descend and ascend through beautiful forest trails and villages.

Day 7: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,920m) – 6 hrs

Pass through Bamboo and Dovan villages into lush forest.

Day 8: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) – 6 hrs

Reach the base camp with 360° mountain views.

Day 9: Trek down to Bamboo or Jhinu Danda (Hot Spring) – 6 hrs

Enjoy natural hot springs if choosing Jhinu route.

Day 10: Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara

Return to Pokhara by evening.
